During the academic year 2011/2012, the University of Forestry launched a course for the degree of Master in Veterinary Medicine in the English language in the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Students of the English curriculum will be taught like all other students of the University.

The University of Forestry in Sofia
The University of Forestry (LTU) in Sofia, is a state university with six schools with a total of 30 departments. The university is located in the university neighborhood of Sofia, near the Technical University and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy.
For more than 80 years now, the University of Forestry is the only university in Bulgaria that provides training in forestry, forest industry and landscape architecture. In 1990 the range of scientific fields expanded to include veterinary medicine, ecology, agronomy and business administration.
Veterinary Medicine in Sofia
The Veterinary School is located in the central university building (Building A).
The Veterinary School was founded in 1994. In 1999 the Department received the first accreditation for students training at postgraduate level. The training lasts 5.5 years, according to the requirements of the European Union.
Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine in Sofia in English
During the academic year 2011/2012, the University of Forestry launched a course for the degree of Master in Veterinary Medicine in the English language in the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Students of the English curriculum will be taught like all other students of the School, under the same curriculum, according to EC Directive 36/2005. The training will be done by professors from the School, with excellent knowledge of English and instructors from other universities and institutions, in accordance with the requirements of academic subjects in the curriculum. The program is governed by the law on higher education in force in Bulgaria. During the first year of study 15 students will be enrolled.
