Useful Information

Benefits

Several students who have the opportunity to study in state universities in their countries often choose to study in England. Studying in England has several advantages.

Some of the comparative advantages:

* British universities have a fairly high academic standard that is recognized worldwide.

* British universities have excellent and modern facilities (libraries, laboratories, campus).

* The education system of British universities encourages learning through practical application of knowledge.

* The curricula of British universities are in line with the needs of the job market through skills that are continually updated to follow current developments.

* Studying at a British university inevitably results in perfecting one’s knowledge of the English Language.

* By studying abroad, students acquire international experience in all areas, from business to friendly aquaintances.

Cost of study in Great Britain

A student will not need much more money to study in England than it would have to study in another city elsewhere. The same holds true if one takes into account that:

* The duration of study is just over 3 years for courses that may take up to 6 years elsewhere.

* There are offers on tickets at low prices on reliable airlines to travel to and from the UK from European cities. Often the transportation cost is less than its domestic flights.

* There is always the possibility of working part-time in well-paid jobs.

* The libraries provide full support to the student so that it is not necessary to purchase books and textbooks. In addition, the students pass offers the student a discount in almost all shops and services.
Since the academic year 2006-2007 British universities charge tuition fees to all European students, even British nationals.

Tuition for most Universities in England is 3225 pounds per year.
By the year 2006 the English state subsidy for a student who had low family incomes. From 2006 the English state does not subsidize any more, but lends all European students regardless of income. This loan shall be repaid when the student declared to the tax income over 12000 pounds a year.

Student Accommodation at the Halls of Residence

Universal can guarantee a room in university halls of residence once the candidate has been accepted by the University. Staying in student residence exempts the first-year student from the additional stress of finding housing and offers ideal living and study conditions.

The student community largely replaces the lack of family in the lives of the students.

Health care
Upon registering, students select their personal physician at the university health centre. The National Health System in Great Britain offers free medical treatment to students.

Libraries - Computers
Fully equipped libraries, with modern facilities and vast volumes of books and journals for all fields of science, fully cover the needs of students.

Student Union - Student Pass
The Student Union promotes the social, cultural and collective lives of students. In all universities there are regional national clubs that organizes cultural gatherings at regular intervals for the entertainment of students.

Other services
Most universities have modern facilities for recreation and sports, enabling all students to have a unique experience of quality education, socialisation and vibrant quality of life.
